I'd left that little bit of business with "L'esprit de scalier" unfinished a while ago. The last time we saw him he was striding off to find some stairs. It's in his nature, after all. Anyway, he's found some.
Here's another smattering of drawings from my little early morning drawing session; in the quiet, dark part of the day before other people start moving around the house. I tend to pick a subject on a whim and usually find I'm not interested in drawing the same thing over an extended stretch of days but, for a whole week a while back I was really liking lizards. Here are a couple of blue-tongues and a skink.
During the warmer months our garden almost seethes with skinks like this one (below). They're about as long as your finger. I think they're drop-dead cute but that's only a function of size, I suppose. We usually have a few scuttling around the lounge room floor which I like a lot but it's a bit of a downer when you go to vacuum under the rug and find a flat little lizard corpse there.
