Other stuff (after Earle K. Bergey)

Mine's just a crappy sketch - it was an exercise in drawing directly with the pen and without corrections - and not a patch on the original (below) but I think mine at least looks like she might actually use the gun.

There's a whole heap of old Earle K. Bergey pulp covers here. And they're fabulous.

Other stuff - coelocanth

More other stuff

Here's another smattering of drawings from my little early morning drawing session; in the quiet, dark part of the day before other people start moving around the house. I tend to pick a subject on a whim and usually find I'm not interested in drawing the same thing over an extended stretch of days but, for a whole week a while back I was really liking lizards. Here are a couple of blue-tongues and a skink.

During the warmer months our garden almost seethes with skinks like this one (below). They're about as long as your finger. I think they're drop-dead cute but that's only a function of size, I suppose. We usually have a few scuttling around the lounge room floor which I like a lot but it's a bit of a downer when you go to vacuum under the rug and find a flat little lizard corpse there.

Other stuff!

Another little morning sketch. I usually do these directly with a pen so I can't erase mistakes; the reasoning being that I'll become bolder in laying down ink lines. I think I'm getting bolder (but I'm not sure about better).
