Another segue

Here we go again. This little story arc is also spinning wildly off on an unexpected (and probably unjustified) tangent.
The little creatures in the bottom panel were all found as fossils in the Burgess Shale deposits (Early Cambrian ~530-ish million years ago) in British Columbia. I've had a copy of Stephen Jay Gould's Wonderful Life kicking around for years, without ever getting round to reading it, but I just love the way these things look. The drawings in Gould's book are much nicer than mine.
I'm still figuring out what the possible connection between Palaeozoic fauna and a codpiece-sporting Eggman could be. Totally running on blind faith that it'll all eventually make a strange kind of sense.

A big fat segue.

I've finally settled into a nice working groove, I think. I'll be posting a new EGGMEN page every Friday (this one's a day early because I'm heading downriver to the seaside for a couple of days). And, in case anyone's wondering what the "and other stuff" in the blog title is all about, just "EGGMEN" was already taken (but there will actually be some other stuff here soon). Promise.

Yep - that's still that trilobite thing on his head and we're seeing the start of a multi-part, epic story arc. It's going somewhere but I really wish someone would tell me where that is.

During my twenties, I spent such a long time being celibate that a friend of mine said I'd have to reproduce by binary fission. Thankfully it didn't turn out that way - as much as anything it'd probably really hurt.
