Morning

The messiah! In chains!

This is going to be one of those ones that goes on for a while, I think. For better or worse, I'm finding that more daft ideas keep trickling through and tacking themselves onto this little scenario so we might be coming back to it a few more times before it's played out.

I probably won't be archiving over on the other site for a while. I just discovered I've run out of space. I've only got one of those pissy little 10MB allocations that come with a dial-up account (which is still all I can get in my area). If anyone screams really loudly I'll look at setting something else up. I suspect though, that nobody really goes there and you can get all the old ones here anyway.

Whoops - nearly forgot

Usually, when I'm doing a strip, I'm all over the place - working on 2 or 3 or more at the same time; I'll have a half a page fully inked when I haven't even finished writing it. This time though I actually resolved the whole thing at the pencil stage. I was well impressed with myself. This is what it looked like before I went at it with pens.
I always like seeing other people's work at this stage too. There's always something lovely and springy and lively about the pencilled lines that seems to get swamped after the ink goes on.

The real reason "creative types" wear black

...although this is, in no way, a reflection on my own sweet self. After years of sitting around drawing, reading and generally enjoying everything the great indoors has to offer I can now crack house bricks between my pecs.

Feeling good.

Smoking's just great. I actually used to feel like this every night then I'd get up the next day and smoke another pack before lying back down to sleep with magma filling my chest cavity. And my skin was grey. And I stank. I don't know why everybody doesn't do it.

The perils of playing any game with a 4-year old

Two posts today - one of each. Scroll down a bit for the weekly where things are starting to get a bit mental.

Anyone who's spent more than a few minutes reading these things has probably come to the conclusion that the dailies and weeklies don't make a lot of sense when they're read side-by-side.
It's probably best to treat them as separate strips. The characters may look kind of the same but they're living in very different worlds. There is a connection but it'll probably be a while before that starts to become clear. Hope you can bear with me.

She's angry about something

Here we go, still bumbling aimlessly through some kind of afterlife. I think I actually know where this is going now. It'll take us a while to get there but we are going somewhere. I'm really starting to have fun with this one. Hope it shows.
This is the 10th page in this little series. You can see them all, from the beginning, here.
