The banishing (as if...)

You might have noticed I'm not bothering to tag these posts any more (although the list of tags to the right here will still bring up a nice range of strips - just not the most recent ones).
It's not just laziness (honestly); this strip has gotten to the stage where there are so many discontinuous and intersecting little story arcs that the mere thought of trying to group them into labelled assemblages was enough to make my head cave in. I do promise to find a better way though. That may mean moving to another web site without this chronologically-ordered thing but it definitely means a book. I'm cobbling that one together at the moment.

Deirdre

I'm afraid I've resorted to filling a gap by posting some old ones again. We've had a couple of blokes rampaging through the house replacing all the windows and, for some reason, I can't seem to concentrate when the air is full of the screams of circular saws and every door in the house is letting in air that has just blown off the Antarctic ice sheet.
So - a couple of old ones. These are really early ones; at this point the little guy seemed to have an on-again/off-again girlfriend who was also a rather traditional Grim Reaper style personification of death (there's probably something terrifying that a psychologist might say regarding what this signified about my subconscious attitude to women but Deirdre was always meant to be a sympathetic figure). She kind of fell by the wayside like a lot of other little threads that have run through this series. But I might be about to bring her back.
